(그림 공부) 10 inspiring messages from Artists over 60

Artist Magazine에서 주최하는  60세 이상된 아마추어 작가들의 공모전이 있는 모양인데 거기서 상을 받은 사람들의

조언이 있어 그 작가들의 그림과 함께 글을 옮겨 본다.

별 대단한 이야기들은 아니지만 배움에 있어서 늦음은 없는 것이라는 격려의 차원에서....

우선 위의 그림은 Bill McEnroe라는 화가의 그림으로 그가 조언하기를 "나는 특별히 내가 그림을 그리면서 어떤 이론이나

메세지를 생각하지 않는다. 단지 그림 그리는 것을 사랑하고 나에게 스토리를 말할 뿐! "

“I don’t have a hard theory on what I try to communicate with my work, nor a message. I just love to paint, to tell myself a story, and if others want to come along for the ride, they’re welcome.”

I’ve often thought about entering one of The Artist’s Magazine’s competitions, but this time I thought, I’m over 60—that means me! Since my hand it still pretty steady and I’d recently finished this piece, I gave this competition a try. The rest is history.
