This will be my last illustration of 2023. As some of you may have noticed, I have recently taken interest in focusing on portraying people and our relationship with food and cooking. I've been thinking hard about what I can do to differentiate my art from a zillion others, and came to conclusion that I should just draw what I like to draw, instead of what I think will sell.
So in 2024, I'm going to do keep on doing just that - food and people are two things I love to draw the most, so look forward to many more of these!

Valentine's Day is coming soon! Here's yet another Valentine's Day themed illustration I created for the special day this year and I absolutely loved painting the chocolate cake decorated with berries.
Food nostalgia series: Mom's love in a dosirak (Korean lunch box).
Food nostalgia: Comfort food at grandmother's place - Korean traditional meal.
Are certain fruits healthier than others?
Burger, fries and a milkshake.
Retro style cakes and other things that may go on the dessert table. Swipe to see the version with a white background.
I think the best brown sugar boba I've had so far is one I got with my kiddo at a random shop in Harajuku. The accessories in my illustrations are mostly inspired by Mejuri products. I really find them pretty to look at.
This piece started off with the idea of drawing cinnamon rolls (which are my all time favorite) and then rest came about.
Food nostalgia - Gimbap (Korean seaweed rice roll)
Strawberry sandwich. Swipe to see version with white background. I saw this in a Japanese supermarket a while back and thought it was really pretty. I'm not a big fan of the cream but maybe I'll give it a go one day.
"Those times when we ate together and talked about nothing and everything."

Late night cravings. Swipe to see version in the light.
Evening with wine.

What Are The Benefits Of Blooming Tea? Editorial illustration.
Still life - breakfast table.
